Y ogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu successfully organized a *two-day industrial visit* to *Science City Kapurthala, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala, and Amritsar* on *7th and 8th November 2025*.

The visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, providing students with valuable *industrial exposure, practical insights, and experiential learning opportunities*.

The team was accompanied by *Er. Dinesh Gupta, Er. Rajnish Magotra, Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Er. Anuj Tidyal, and Mrs. Sheetal Sharma*.

Students participated enthusiastically and showcased excellent discipline and curiosity throughout the visit

The Visit was organized by the Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology to , “Sewage treatment plant and E-BUS Yard, Jammu,” for 6th,4th and 2nd semesters students of Civil Engg, Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg and Computer Science & Engineering. During the visit Mr.Vinod Kumar, Plant Incharge, along with his team interacted with the faculty and students and described the working of Sewage treatment plant processes and also the functioning of various units like Preliminary Treatment etc.

Industrial visit to CIIIT,Jammu was conducted by ycet.all branches and all semesters of, civil,electrical, mechanical and cse students were part of the visit.they got first hand knowledge about mechatronics, IOT,E vehicles, its assembly,its testing.Role of robot’s. Cnc machine.etc.Ms heena gupta,lecturer gave powerpoint presentation about Jammu smart city six resolutions to make jammu city smart and resilient. The important areas which are to be improved by using iot like 1.smart grid,2.smart education,3.smart water meter,4
Smart governance,5.smart health care and 6.smart transportation.The visit was very informative and knowledgeable. The faculty accompanied were Er.Rajnish Magotra, Er.loveneesh Talwar,Er.Anshu sharma and Er.Inderdeep singh.Ycet thanked Prof.Talat hussain,pri cipal ,Govt polytechnic for granting permission to visit CIIIT,Jammu.

LINK MEGA JOB FAIR AT YCET WITH ICT ACADEMY IN ASSOCIATION WITH AICTE

Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a Placement Drive LINK Mega Job Fair with ICT academy in association with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide employment opportunities to the students of UT of Jammu and Kashmir.LINK Mega Job Fair comprised of 16 recruiting companies with over 1200 job openings. This Mega Job Fair invited applicants from any Technical Institution in Jammu and Kashmir approved byAICTE (2022, 2023 and 2024 Pass-out).
The event was graced by the speech of the special Guest Dr. Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE.The placement drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of YCET, IMS SMVDU, University of Jammu, BGSBU Rajouri, UIET Rothak, MBSCET, GPC Kathua, GPC reasi, GPC women Jammu, and GPC Boys Jammu. The job fair saw a humungous crowd of students. A total of 80 students got job offers with highest CTC 7.8 LPA
