T he Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Jammu organized an Educational Tour to “Dalhousie-McLeod Ganj-HP.” for the students of 6th& 4th Semesters Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The prime aim and objective of the visit was to give Exposure to students and faculty. These Educational tours are a vital part of a well-rounded education, offering students opportunities to learn beyond the confines of a classroom. They provide a rich tapestry of experiences that enhance academic knowledge, foster personal growth, and prepare students for the complexities of the modern world. By investing in educational tours, the benefits of educational tours for students help them to develop a lifelong love for learning and exploration.
The visit was very refreshing & joyfull. The students visited Dalhousie’s -Mall road, St. Francis Church, Indo Tibetan Market and Bhuri Singh Museum while at McLeodGanj, Dharamshala they witnessed Kala Chakra Temple, Dalai lama Temple, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Cricket stadium, St.John’s Church. Tour offered an authentic, educational, and interactive travel experience. Thus, helped students to connect with a destination on a deeper level, immerse yourself in its culture and history, and explore the nooks and crannies that make each place unique.

Industrial Visit at CIIIT ,Jammu

Industrial visit to CIIIT,Jammu was conducted by ycet.all branches and all semesters of, civil,electrical, mechanical and cse students were part of the visit.they got first hand knowledge about mechatronics, IOT,E vehicles, its assembly,its testing.Role of robot’s. Cnc machine.etc.Ms heena gupta,lecturer gave powerpoint presentation about Jammu smart city six resolutions to make jammu city smart and resilient. The important areas which are to be improved by using iot like 1.smart grid,2.smart education,3.smart water meter,4
Smart governance,5.smart health care and 6.smart transportation.The visit was very informative and knowledgeable. The faculty accompanied were Er.Rajnish Magotra, Er.loveneesh Talwar,Er.Anshu sharma and Er.Inderdeep singh.Ycet thanked Prof.Talat hussain,pri cipal ,Govt polytechnic for granting permission to visit CIIIT,Jammu.

Visit to Brick Kiln by C.E Students

Department of Civil Engineering organised field visit to the Brick kiln on 10th April’ 2019 for the students of 4th semester.

The visit was organised for students to access and expose the students to the complete process of manufacturing of Bricks and to make them aware about how work is executed on site.

Er. Vinod, Er. Sarvdaman Sharma, Er.Shivang Sharma and Er.Ankush (Asst Professors, Deptt of Civil) under guidance of Er Rajnish Magotra (HOD, civil department) planned and coordinated the visit.

The students interacted with the site in-charge of Brick kiln and gained knowledge about how Brick kiln works. This interaction created an enthusiasm among students and boosted their confidence.
