Further strengthening their motto “Where excellence is just the beginning”, the faculty member of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Er. Loveneesh Talwar H.O.D Electrical Engineering Department has been invited as a Guest Speaker by Govt. Polytechnic Ramban organizes a webinar on the Conservation of Energy.
Energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using less of an energy service. This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service used. Energy conservation is a part of the concept of Eco-sufficiency. Energy is of two types Conventional and Non-conventional but as time passes by, the generation rate of electricity is very low compared to our consumption rate. Due to this, we are focusing on nonconventional resources. We can conserve energy by using two methods one is by reducing the use of energy-efficient devices and secondly, we can use energy optimum techniques to conserve energy. By adopting simple Energy Measures we can save Energy to a greater extent and hence save energy for future Generation. The session was interactive and the queries raised by the audience were also addressed by Er. Loveneesh Talwar. The talk ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Des Raj, The whole webinar was coordinated by Er. Abaid Hussain.
In the end, Er. Loveneesh Talwar thanks Er.Suket Gupta, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Ramban and Er. Aabid for inviting him as a Speaker and sharing his ideas. Overall the exposure to knowledge and modern trends proved many folds beneficial for him who took to this opportunity in the fullest and motivate other faculty to participate in such events. He also mentions the immense gratitude for the management of YCET and for Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivatsva (Director YCET).

Entrepreneurship is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business enterprise, along with any of its uncertainties in order to make a profit. Its about building a life on your own terms. No bosses, no restricting schedules and no one holds you back.

The session began with welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HOD ( Electrical Engineering ). Er. Dinesh Gupta, President IIC Cell briefed about IIC Cell.
Dr. M. Marsaline Beno, Professor & Vice Principal, Innovation Ambassador & IIC President, St. Xaviers Catholic College of Engineering, Nagercoil, Kanayakumari explained the importance of entrepreneurship. Dr. M. Marsaline Beno made aware the students about pervasive technologies i.e. computing, communicating & controlling. He briefed students about Industry 4.0, time to reach 100 million customers, product life cycle and also explained the Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Ecosystem etc. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts for organizing session.

Prof. ( Dr. ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET appreciated the efforts of Electrical & CSE / IT Department and motivated the students to start their own industries and become job giver instead of job seeker. He said that such session will be very helpful to the students. The session was coordinated by Er. Robin Kumar ( Coordinator ) of CSE department who also gave a formal vote of thanks.

“It wont take much energy, to conserve Energy Believing this quote, Er. Loveneesh Talwar HOD Electrical Department, YCET has been invited as a keynote speaker to deliver talk in International Conference on Emerging Trends in Science and Circuit Engineering (ICESCE-2021) which was organized by ADHI college of Engineering & Technology, Kanchipuram on (23-24 April,2021)
He delivered talk on Energy Conservation Techniques and how to conserve energy for Future. Efficient utilization of energy resource is not only conservational it also saves capital investment. Electric energy occupies the top grade in the energy hierarchy. It finds innumerable uses in home, industry, agriculture and in transport. In his talk, he also emphasis on Energy audit. An energy audit is an inspection survey and an analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building. It may include a process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. Energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using less of an energy service. This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service used. Energy conservation is a part of the concept of Eco-sufficiency. Energy is of two types Conventional and Non-conventional but as the time passes by, the generation rate of electricity is very low compared to our consumption rate. Due to which we are focusing on non conventional resources. We can conserve energy by using two methods one is by reducing the use of energy efficient devices and secondly we can use energy optimum techniques to conserve energy. He also show one of his case studies in which he represents how to conserve energy in domestic sector by using 4 Energy Conservation Methods and what is its payback period.
In the end, Er. Loveneesh Talwar thanks Dr. K.B.Bhaskar, Convenor and Dr. Dinesh for inviting him for giving him opportunity to deliver guest lecture. Overall the exposure to knowledge and modern trends proved many folds beneficial for him who took to this opportunity in the fullest and motivate other faculty to participate in such events. He also mentions the immense gratitude for the management of YCET and Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivatsva (Director YCET).

Session was Chaired by Prof Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman,AICTE where as guest of honour was Dr. M. P. Poonia, Vice-chairman, AICTE.

All faculty members of YCET attended the session online.
Speaker emphasized that doing the research is the best first step toward to that mission. It intimidated one’s at first until he/she realized that doing this is like project management – only it’s managing a project with less partners and a smaller budget than one have experience in and that is one step forward to Start-up.
