<p>Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology organised a online webinar on “How to Plan for Start up &amp; Legal Ethical steps” for all semesters of Electrical Engineering students here today. The session was started with the welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, H.O.D Electrical Department which was followed by the lecture of Er. M.Gunasekaran, presently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineer in Karpagam Institute of Technology, Coimbatore (Innovation Ambassador-IIC) who delivered his lecture on start up and legal ethical steps. He started his presentation by talking about the importance of innovation in entrepreneurship. According to him, innovation is the most important word for an entrepreneur and society in general. He pushed everyone to bring out their innovative and creative ideas and shared his steps of taking the idea and making into reality.</p>
<p>He explained the basics of start-ups, including its initiation, raising funds, legal and ethical aspects of start-ups. The session was of great benefit for all the young innovators who were planning for their start-up and business. The session was able to boost their motivation to the next level. The key takeaway of the session was to instill in the students the mindset of more innovative ideas for problem solving rather than the traditional ones.</p>
<p>The students were fortunate that they have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their awareness and well being. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET Management.</p>
<p>Er.Bodh Raj Verma, Chief coordinator YCET Jammu, Er.Dinesh Gupta (Dean Academic, YCET), and faculty members were also present there. The session ended with the Vote of thanks by Er. Azlee Anjum.</p>
<p>The students were fortunate that they have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their awareness and well being. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology organized a webinar on “ Cyber Security &amp; Forensic &#8221; for 3rd,5th, and 8th semesters Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering students here today. The Programme was started with the welcome address by Er. Anupreet which was followed by the lecture of Er. Niraj Dubey Sr.Assistant Professor in GCET, Jammu delivered his lecture on Cyber securities &amp; forensics. He explained the three pillars of cyber security interaction i.e people, process, and technology, which was followed by a live session on cyber-attacks through various websites like www.internetlivestat.com,www.cybermapkaspersky.com, etc. He also briefed about IT ACT 17B under which whenever any cyber attack is encountered then it needs to be reported to certain Departments like the Ministry of Electronics and information technology within 6 hours. The lecture edged the young minds a little more towards the bright future that lay ahead of them.<br />
The students were fortunate that they got the chance to attend this session for increasing their awareness and well-being. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Computer Engineering Department, YCET for getting the best out of these opportunities, which are being provided under the good wishes of the YCET Management.<br />

<p>The Department of Computer Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a workshop on “Oracle cloud infrastructure” on 8th April 2022 for all the students of Computer Engineering.</p>
<p>Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a platform of cloud services that enable you to build and run a wide range of applications in a highly-available, consistently high-performance environment.</p>
<p>The session began with the welcome address by Er. Dinesh Gupta, ( Dean Academics ). Mr. Rishi Mahajan, Solution Architecture with 17 years of experience in Cloud Solution Architecture, Infrastructure/Database Management. He is having experience with multiple rational and nonrelational Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Yugabyte, Neo4j, etc. He is having Strong expertise in building solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud. He briefed students about the services needed to migrate, build, and run all existing enterprise workloads to new cloud-native applications and data platforms. Further, he explained how oracle infrastructure works i.e. offers high-performance compute capabilities as physical hardware instances and storage capacity in a flexible overlay virtual network that is securely accessible from your on-premises network. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts for organizing the session.<br />
Er. BR Verma ( Chief Coordinator ) appreciated the efforts of the Computer science department.<br />
The session was coordinated by Er. Robin Kumar ( HOD ) of the Computer Engineering department also gave a formal vote of thanks.</p>

<p>JAMMU, February 2: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organizes a webinar on “ICT Enable Learning through Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay” on 2nd February 2022 for all the students of the 7th semester studying in different departments of YCET.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>MOOC refers to an online course that allows users from across the world to learn the same material, without prerequisites, in a flexible learning environment. MOOCs which is an abbreviation of the massive open online course, offer free education in an online environment, with no limit on class size.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The session began with a welcome address by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics, and Central Coordinator Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay and President IIC Cell. The resource person for the session was Er. Tanvir Singh is a Training Manager of IIT Bombay for Spoken Tutorial Program fostering IT Literacy through Open Source Technology under National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), Ministry of Education, Government of India, and Founder President of Green ThinkerZ advocating United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) 2030. He started the session with the need and rise of MOOCs. MOOCs are free and open-source software as students can learn any code at any time and can interact with the trainer i.e it is a learner-led Environment. He further explained the important Quadrants to develop MOOCs i.e. Video tutorials, E-content, assessment, and discussion. MOOCs are a relatively new development in education, representing a trend towards affordable education available for the masses, in a collaborative, connected space, with traditional educational materials, like lecture slides and videos, supplemented with interactive elements. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts for organizing the session.</p>

<p>The session was attended by all the HODs and departmental Coordinators of all the departments.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>JAMMU, JAN 19: Department of Computer Science, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organizes “Pitching event of ideas scouted for mentorship support” knowledgeable and exciting session on 19th January 2022 for all the students of the 7th semester studying in different departments of YCET.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Er. Dinesh Gupta, (President IIC Cell and Incubation Ambassador) initiated the session with a brief introduction about the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) – A MHRD Govt. of India Initiative to nurture buddy Engineers in research projects and startups. He explained about the incubator i.e an organization that helps startup companies and individual entrepreneurs to develop their businesses by providing a full-scale range of services starting with management training and office space and ending with venture capital financing.<br />
After that, the stage was progressed by Er. Yuvraj Singh, IIC Innovation Ambassador. He explained Innovation, its types and techniques such as SCAMPER which means substitute, simplicity, combine, adapt, modify, magnify, put to other uses, Eliminate, Reverse, Rearrange.<br />
Further, the session was followed by Er. Rajnish (H.O.D CIVIL Department and IIC Startup Ambassador) enlightened the students about the idea of entrepreneurship. He explained that Entrepreneurship is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business enterprise, along with any of its uncertainties to make a profit. In the last, he said try to be a job giver rather than to become a job seeker.<br />
Er. Robin Kumar (H.O.D Computer Science Department and IIC IPR Ambassador) gave important information about Intellectual Property Rights i.e legal rights that protect creations and/or inventions resulting from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary, or artistic fields, and explained the types of intellectual property Rights i.e patents, designs, trademarks, copyrights, etc.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Department of Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) organized workshop on “Innovation as Career Opportunity” on 22nd November, 2021 for Computer Science &amp; Electrical Engineering students.</p>
<p>Innovation is the practical implementation of ideas that result in the introduction of new goods or services or improvement in offering goods or services. Innovation, for its part, can refer to something new or to a change made to an existing product, idea or field.</p>
<p>The session began with welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HOD ( Electrical Engineering ). Er. Dinesh Gupta, President, IIC Cell briefed about IIC Cell.<br />
The resource person Sri G.M Srinivasan, Founder Sriluck Paints, Tamil Nadu had experience of Offshore Engineer in Dynamic Offshore Ltd., Mumbai and along with that he also worked in Hong Kong mineral water export project and participated in international conference meeting in Cambodia. He went to Russia and completed a project with the Russia Government and was appointed as Deputy Executive Director of Ilinsky State.<br />
He explained the importance of innovation. He made the students aware about his experience and taught how to focus about innovation, why innovation matters, what is the right mindset for innovation. <p>The Department of Electrical Engineering of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) organizes a webinar on “Rise in Cyber Crime amid COVID-19” today i.e. on 3rd July 2021 for Electrical and Computer Engineering students. The session began with a welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HoD (Electrical Engg. ).</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The session was further followed by Er. Vikas Razdan is a certified cybercrime intervention officer, cybersecurity analyst, cyber warrior and also an associate member of national cyber safety and security standards and an active member of jkcyberyodha ( operation cybertimshel ) from J &amp; K with a mission of creating awareness among all netizens about the crimes of the digital era.</p>

<p>He discussed Cyber Crime, the Emerging Technical Challenges, Privacy issues, Sextortion: Video Call Scam, Phishing and along with that he also emphasized on Be mindful of UPI Scam, One Ring Calling Scam, etc.</p>

<p>The students were fortunate that they got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out of these opportunities, which are being provided under the good wishes of the YCET Management.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Department of Computer Science &amp; Engineering of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) organizes online webinar on “Artificial Intelligence ( AI )” for CSE/IT students on 18th Feb., 21.</p>
<p>The session started with welcome address by Er. Dinesh Gupta, HoD ( CSE /IT ) and President of IIC Cell, YCET. The resource person Mr. Sushil Soni is working as Product Manager in Livewire India and has 8 years experience. He has handled 700+ projects. Currently he is working on“Network Analysis” project. He briefed the students about “Artificial Intelligence” and explained some practical ways to think about how to use AI in the Enterprise. AI is ideal for Data Scientists and Business Decision makers working in large enterprise businesses looking to uncover opportunities to be an AI project. He further explained how Alexa is always ready to answer questions, tell jokes, play music, etc. Alexa is trained by speech recognition techniques and natural language processing systems using machine learning techniques. He explained why to choose AI over Human and what are its applications. He further stressed on the demand of AI in Market and also to explain the reason for the failure of the Chandrayaan-2 which is based on Artificial Intelligence. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The speaker remained highly commemorative of the efforts for organizing webinar.</p>
<p>Prof. ( Dr. ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET also addressed the students and explained that how Artificial Intelligence is playing a very important role in detecting Covid-19 and Cancer and developing Driverless Automobile Systems etc. Image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning techniques are being used. Er. Robin Kumar, Coordinator, CSE/IT provided technical support.</p>
