B.E Admission Procedure (2020-21)

The admission of students to courses right from notification to the selection of candidates is through  Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BoPEE), an agency constituted by the J&K State Government. The institution admits only those students whose names fall in the list of selected candidates issued by the BoPEE.

The management, however, selects students under the NRI/Management sponsored/other quota seats as per the regulations prescribed by the AICTE and the State Government (5% of Total intake).

  • Computer Science Engineering [120 seats]
  • Civil Engineering [120 seats]
  • Electrical Engineering [60 seats]
  • Mechanical Engineering [120 seats]

 

Eligibility Criteria

The Applicant must be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in Section-6 of the Constitution of the J&K.

Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates including the Children of Defense Personnel, Children of Para Military Force, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes.

Must be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the relevant year 2019.

The candidates appearing/who have appeared in the 12th Class examination (Annual Session 2019) can also appear in the BOPEE test provisionally. However, they shall be required to produce the marks card of the said examination in support of having qualified the examination at the time of declaration of the result/counseling as may be notified by the Board.

Instructions

No under process certificate will be accepted.

The information provided by, the candidates in the online Application Form cannot be verified from the original documents by the BOPEE officials before admission of candidates. Therefore, if at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.

Documents required at the time of admission
  1. Admit card of CET-2020 issued by the BOPEE.
  2. Subject-wise marks certificate of 10+2 examination (qualification examination).
  3. Matriculation diploma.
  4. Provisional qualification certificate of 10+2.
  5. Migration certificate from the board/university where the candidate has passed the qualifying examination (where applicable).
  6. Transfer certificate (other than students who have passed 10+2 from JKBOSE).
  7. Discharge certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  8. Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  9. Medical fitness certificate.
  10. Category certificate issued by the authority in terms of the SRO as amended from time to time.
  11. Domicile certificate.
  12. Income certificate (for Govt./Autonomous organization issued by the concerned DDO) and others from concerned tehsildar.
  13. 10 passport size photograph.

  15. An undertaking as appended at “A” from all candidates on stamp paper worth Rs.10/-duly attested by 1st class magistrate.
  16. An undertaking as appended at “B” on stamp paper worth Rs.10/- duly attested by 1st class magistrate from the candidates who have passed 12th class examination other than J&K BOSE and from the candidates who were previously studying/passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com./Professional Examination other than Jammu University in addition to undertaking “A” as shown in column(15) above.
  17. Students, who want to avail hostel facility, can obtain prescribed form from the admission committee. Allotment of hostel shall be on first-cum-first serve basis.
