From Civil Department Eight students namely: Harman Kaur, Sayed Wasid Gilaani, Rahul Datta, Amitesh Kapoor, Usman Qayoom, Mohd. Ayaz Mirza, Adarsh Ajrawat and Azeem Aziz were selected in Indure Pvt. Ltd.
From Mechanical Department Five students namely: Mohammad Munayan Fafoo, Abhishek Sharma, Faizan Ali Mir, Gaurav and Naman Chib were selected in Bajaj Motors.

These students will join with the final annual package of Rs 4 Lakhs (approx.).

YCET Conducted National Workshop by IIT Bombay
Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology [YCET] organized the National Workshop on “Awareness of Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay and career prospects”.
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Akanksha Saini, National Cordinator, Spoken tutorial, IIT Bombay. Various Institutes were invited for the workshop among them were IMS, UIET, MBSCET etc. The faculty members and students from these institutes witnessed the occasion.
Mrs. Akanksha Saini National Cordinator, Spoken tutorial, IIT Bombay graced the stage and addressed the audience. She quoted Nelson Mandela’s saying “Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world”. She further added that our world is changing rapidly, it is essential to move ahead with that pace for that we have to think outside the box. One should work as part of a team while having ability to solve problems, having good people in skills and critical thinking. She gave detailed presentation on 21st century learning design and revealed that spoken tutorial IIT, Bombay is offering 75 courses and had trained 80 lakh people across the country in 22 recognized languages. At the end she summed up by giving insights by showing rainbow arch and support system.

Palm Island is a great innovative idea that came into reality. The Palm Islands are three artificial islands, Palm Jumeirah, Deira Island, and Palm Jebel Ali, on the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Palm Islands are a major tourist destination within Dubai. The creation of the islands started in 2001. Palm Jumeirah is the site of numerous private residences and hotels. From the air, the archipelago resembles a stylized palm tree within a circle. Palm Jebel Ali is a similar archipelago with a larger palm tree, a larger crescent around it, and space between the crescent and the tree to dredge island boardwalks that circle the “fronds” of the palm.  The Deira Islands) are four undeveloped artificial islands off the coast of Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The students were briefed about the Innovation technique adopted by the Engineers and technocrats who made this dream come true.  Prof Abhishek Arya explained the innovative methods used in the construction of islands in the easiest way so that each & every student can understand this great innovation. In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Er.K.R. Sharma, senior faculty member of the Mechanical department.

In his talk, he delivered about current scenario of solar technology across globe and opportunities about renewable energy sources in India. His thrust for “Solar Manufacturing” benefitted students to understand the upcoming opportunities. He shared the mantra for success to our budding entrepreneurs in which he stated that zeal,dedication, commitment and punctuality is the key.

Prof. ( Dr.) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET remitted the gesture by thanking the speaker for sharing experience and providing knowledge to students about the various sectors that have potential to grow in near future. Adding baseline to session, Er. Neeraj Pandita, HoD ( Mechanical Engg.), YCET added that robust domestic supply chain of solar equipment manufacturing in India will promote self-reliance, energy security and preserve valuable forex reserves. Overall the exposure to knowledge and modern trends proved many folds beneficial for the young and coming engineers from YCET who took this opportunity in the fullest to gain learnings from the speaker.
