<p>YCET organized a session on &#8220;ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS, ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIORAL DEVELOPMENT&#8221; in connection with IIC Activity.<br />
The event was started with the welcome address by the student coordinator, IIC Cell Paras Sharma (2nd semester CSE). The resource person was Er. Divya Jammwal. Er. Divya Jamwal is working as a Coordinator of Management Department at IMS. She enlightened the audience about the characteristics and objectives of Entrepreneurship.<br />
She explained in detail about marketing skills, social networks, and required dimensions of entrepreneur behavior by giving the examples of various real time entrepreneurs like Bhavish Aggarwal, Peyush Bansal, Falguni Nayar, Vandana Luthra,etc.</p>
<p>The lecture increased the length and breadth of knowledge. She said that there are three attributes to becoming a successful entrepreneur: Information, Attitude and Behavior. The audience really got enriched &amp; benefitted by this interactive session.<br />
The session was summed up with the memento ceremony, and the vote of thanks. The vote of thanks was given by student coordinator, IIC Cell Vikrant Singh (6th Sem CSE).<br />
The event was well coordinated by the student coordinator, IIC Cell Umar Fareed Jaral (6th Sem Civil), who was the anchor for the day.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Department of Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) conducted an industrial visit of 3rd and 5th sem students, at Electrical Central Workshop Division,(JPDCL), Jammu</p>
<p>During the visit, the students were briefed by Er.Sachin Tickoo (AE) and Er. Pervez Ahmed (AEE). The students were briefed about the basic principle of working of transformers, the construction of the core assembly, the preparation of the winding of the Primary and secondary coils in the winding benches , assembling of the core and windings ,the process of drying of moisture in the heat treatment ovens, the oil filtration process , impregnation of heat treated transformer core and windings in the Transformer tank and pouring the filtered oil in the Transformer Tank , fitting of the HV and LV Bushing and testing of the Transformers in the Testing lab of the workshop where various tests like High voltage test, Open circuit test, Turns ratio test, Break down voltage test and double frequency withstand tests are performed before issuing the transformers to the various user Divisions of JPDCL. The students expressed satisfaction over the overall learning in the Electric Central Workshop Division JPDCL Jammu.</p>
<p>The industrial visit was an amazing experience, provided the right exposure and proved to be a definite value addition in their professional knowledge. Industrial visit to an organization of repute for practical insight and understanding with regard to the functioning of an industrial unit viz; Production, Operation and for getting corporate exposure.</p>

<p>JAMMU, March 11: The Department of Computer Science Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology had organized a Faculty Development Program on Artificial Intelligence, came to a splendid conclusion on March 11 2022 marked the pinnacle of<br />
5-day event of Faculty development program.</p>
<p>The event was profoundly brightened by different sessions through Guest speakers and the keen participation of all the faculty members from YCET. The session began with a welcome address to the speaker by Er. Anshu Sharma, Assistant Professor Computer Science Engineering Department. The 5-day FDP commenced with the session by Dr.Manish Saxena, Principal, FGIPS, Raebareli Professor delivered a lecture on Next Generation Intelligent Network Intrusion Prevention System for Web Spamming. On the 2nd day the guest speaker was Dr. Anuj Goel, Professor Chandigarh University gave his views on Machine learning &amp; Real-time applications development for Emotion Detection. On the 3rd day of FDP, Dr. M. Selladurai, Assistant Professor, St. Joseph University, Nagaland carried out the session on Future of Artificial Intelligence in Digital Commerce. On the 4th day of FDP, Mrs.R.Sathya Assistant Professor ( Sr.G), SRM, Chennai shared ideas about Content-based image retrieval system for Real Images. On the final day of FDP Dr.N.Karthikeyan Professor &amp; Head, Syed Ammal Engineering College, Tamil Nadu delivered a lecture on AI-Applications, Natural language processing, and machine translation. Er. Robin Kumar, (HOD, Computer Engineering Department) gave the welcome address to the dignitaries which are further followed by the Introduction speech by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics YCET.</p>
<p>The stage was progressed through the message given by Guest of Honour, Er. Vivek Mahajan<br />
Principal, Govt. Polytechnic College, Reasi. He Congratulation on the incredible success of the completion of FDP to Chairman, YCET Vidhi S. Singh, and Managing Director Renu Bangroo and also appreciated the efforts taken by YCET college.<br />
Further, the stage was followed by jubilant and encouraging words by Chief Guest Dr. Simmi Dutta Professor and Head of Computer Engineering Department, Government College of Engineering &amp; Technology, Jammu. She talked about machine<br />
learning and reinforcement learning where the learning agent can perceive and interpret its environment, take actions and learn through trial and error. Her exceptional words of motivation nurtured the expectations.</p>
<p>The conclusion of the event came about with a vote of thanks from Er. Shivalika, Assistant Professor Computer Science Department.</p>

<p>The impact of social education on young and developing minds has always proven to be in the benefit of the overall society. Nurturing good social values at a young age not only develops character but produces talent that is sustainable and advantageous to this nation. Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology has yet again fortified its commitment towards imparting such quality values by organizing a one day Webinar to commemorate International Women&#8217;s day on the topic &#8220;Women in decision making positions &#8211; is the world scenario changing? &#8220;.<br />
During the inauguration of the webinar, Er.Loveneesh talwar , H.O.D Electrical department began his address with much fervour by talking about the necessity of visualizing the shift in paradigm marked by Women in key positions all over the world and how that translates in terms of efficient decision making and betterment of nations. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics also commended the role of Dept of Electrical Engineering and IIC cell of YCET in taking vital steps to give burning issues such as this a widespread and prolific platform where it can generate a healthy curiosity amongst the future generations of technocrats in regards to the social impact and their obligations towards it.<br />
The event featured a charismatic talk by the key resource person Miss Pallavi Sareen , Editor in chief TSL Straight line. A renowned visionary in her field, she took the opportunity to propagate the importance of recognizing the changing role of women in decision making at high places and cited many captivating examples where such decisions taken by women have been game changers and deliver her talk on “Women in Decision Making Positions; is the world-Scenario changing?”<br />
The students were fortunate that they have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their awareness and well being. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET Management.<br />
Chief Coordinator, Er. B.R. Verma was also present there to motivate the students. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Er. Yuvraj Singh, Assistant professor Electrical department.</p>

<p>JAMMU, March 7: The Department of Computer Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology organizes a Faculty Development Program on “Artificial Intelligence”.</p>
<p>Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a robot controlled by a computer to do tasks that are usually done by humans because they require human intelligence and discernment.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The event commenced on 7th March 2022 with the welcome address by Er. Robin Kumar</p>
<p>,(HOD, Computer Engineering Department) which is further followed by the Introduction speech by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics YCET who brief about the topic of FDP.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The stage was progressed through the message given by Guest of honor Sh. Umesh Baru Dy Dir (Plg), working in the Directorate of skill development and looking after the planning section of the directorate expressed how artificial intelligence can dramatically improve the efficiencies of our workplace and can augment the work humans can do. As it is the fastest-growing development in the world. Further, the stage was followed by jubilant and encouraging words by Chief Guest Sh. Sudarshan Kumar (JKAS), Director Skill development J&amp;K. congratulated the management, organizers, and the department for conducting FDP on such a burning topic.</p>

<p>It was followed by the interactive session by Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman YCET in which he re-iterated the mantra of YCET &#8220;Where excellence is just the beginning&#8221;, and highlighted the continuous and vigorous pursuit of excellence that the institution is after. Er Renu Bangroo Managing Director and Er BR Verma also took time to commend the concerted efforts of the Department of Computer Science Engineering and IIC Cell of YCET in making the perfect arrangements for the success of this enlightening event.</p>
<p>The speaker of the day, Dr. Manish Saxena, working as Principal FGIPS, Raebreli.He has vast experience in multiple domains such as Mobile Computing, BIO diesel &amp; its commercial applications. His first paper was selected for mission Moon 1, by the Honorable President of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. He delivered his talk on “ Next Generation intelligent network intrusion prevention system for web spamming”. He further explained secure communication, information transit, and how to prevent legitimate traffic.</p>
<p>The conclusion of the event came about with a vote of thanks from Er. Shivalika, Assistant Professor Computer Engineering Department</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>JAMMU, 2<sup>nd</sup> March, 2022: The Department of Civil Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering &amp; Technology ( YCET )organized an Industrial visit for BE 3<sup>rd</sup> Semester Civil Engineering to the Centre for Invention,Innovation,Incubation &amp; Training ( CIIIT),Jammu  which has been established by Tata Technologies Ltd, Pune at Government Polytechnic, Jammu to impart training in the latest trends of Manufacturing Technology ,Construction Technology.The prime aim and objective of the visit was to enrich the Knowledge &amp; exposure to the world of work.The training is a cross-disciplinary ,where designers &amp; the curious can explore and pursue their interest in the modern world, develop personal projects and start collaborative projects.YCET is keen to find out various means to give exposure to their students.</p>
<p>ErRajnish Magotra, HOD (Civil Engineering Department,YCET)) briefed about the latest technologies established at CIIITwith the aim of up-skilling &amp; enhancing employability of Engineering students to the latest trends by imparting skill training on the latest technologies with the help of faculty from TATA Technologies that will certainly bridge the gap between Industry and Academia. During interaction experts discussed about Value Engineering, IoT, Critical thinking/writing and live product design ofprogram me commenced with the kind projects to meet the demand of consumers and the market. The session ended with fruitful discussions and comprehensive exposure with Industry experts.</p>
<p>The <em>Visit was made possible because of the dedication and able guidance of Er. Ritu Jamwal ,Principal Govt Polytechnic,Jammu.Er.Kuldeep Singh Bhatia (HoD,Mechanical Engg,Jammu), Er.Sukhdeep Singh (HoD,Civil Engg,Jammu)Er Sunil (Tata Technologies,CIIIT). The students were enriched by this visit.</em></p>

<p><em>ErVidhi.S.Singh, Chairman(JGEI),Th SDS Jamwal, Vice-Chairman(JGEI), ErRenuBangroo,Managing Director (JGEI) congratulated the department for such initiative and said that such visits should be a continuous practice. Er B R Verma,Chief Coordinator and Er Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics also complimented the department for such visit.</em></p>

YCET organized Quiz :“Chanakya” to commemorate National Science day under the theme :<br />
“Innovation and Start up”<br />
The National Science day is celebrated every year to mark the discovery of the ‘ Raman Effect’ by<br />
Nobel winning Indian Physicist Sir C.V. Raman . This year the theme of national science day was<br />
Quiz on “Innovation and start up”<br />
The quiz was intended to make students aware and boost up their interest in Innovation start up,<br />
Intellectual property rights and Entrepreneurship.<br />
The quiz was open to all and almost 600 students of various branches&amp; Colleges participated in<br />
that. After successful completion of quiz, those who secured more than 70% were rewarded with<br />
E- certificate.<br />
The event was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of<br />
Er.Neeraj Pandita, Hod Mechanical. Er.Inderdeep Singh, Assistant professor Mechanical<br />
Department conducted the Quiz.<br />
Er B.R.Verma, Chief coordinator and Er.Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics appreciated the efforts of<br />
student and department for making the event successful.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To bring out the creative expression of the students and to gauge their awareness quotient, the Department of Applied Sciences, under the IIC cell of YCET, organized &#8216;Poster Making Competition on the eve of &#8220;<strong>National Science Day</strong>&#8221; in the honor of Nobel laureate, Sir CV Raman who discovered the Raman effect on February 28, 1928. In the competition, students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the theme <strong>&#8220;</strong><strong>INTEGRATED APPROACH IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT</strong><strong>&#8220;</strong>. It was overwhelming to see the level of enthusiasm &amp; zeal in the participants. The competition witnessed several strong ideas &amp; messages to promote innovations in the technical area, thereby fulfilling the objective of this competition. Dr. Rakesh Verma, HoD Department of Applied Sciences, addressed the participants &amp; informed them about the assessment criteria like relevance to the theme, originality, impact of the message, creativity, and overall presentation. The judges of the event, Er. B.R.Verma, Er. Rajneesh Magotra and Er. Neeraj Pandita evaluated the Posters. In the poster-making competition, the top three spots were bagged by Taniya Kotwal, Sahil Manzoor, and Syed Faraz respectively. President, IIC Cell YCET, Er Dinesh Gupta, motivated the students to develop the three I&#8217;s i.e. Inquiry, Innovation, and Impact in their daily life activities. Er. B.R. Verma appreciated the efforts of the students and the department for making the event successful. The event was coordinated by Mr. Rohit Gupta and Ms. Vaishali Sharma.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What commenced as an endeavor to prioritize the agenda of Sustainable Development amongst the flag bearers of the future of this UT and in general the nation, came to a sterling conclusion as 25th, Feb 2022 marked the culmination of a 5-day event of Faculty development Program “Clean and Green Energy for Sustainable Development” at Yogananda college of engineering and technology (YCET) which was organized by Electrical department.</p>
<p>The event was profoundly brightened by sessions of all the key resource persons and the avid participation of the staff of YCET. The same was documented in the encouraging words of the Valediction speech of Er. Loveneesh Talwar (H.O.D Electrical department). He presented a warm thank you note to all the resource persons for taking time to contribute to this event and all the organizing staff of YCET for always venturing towards the motto of this institute with such events.</p>
<p>The 5-day FDP commenced with sessions by Dr. Yatheshth Anand Asstt. Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering SMVDU, Katra who delivered a lecture on the topic “Energy Efficiency in Buildings: A move towards sustainability”. On the 2nd day of FDP, a notable speaker was Er. Shafqat Nabi Mughal HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering BGSBU, J&amp;K expressed his worthy views on “Deregulation of Power Sector for Sustainable Development”.On the 3rd day of FDP Dr. Sanjeev Anand Asstt. Professor, School of Energy Management SMVDU, Katra, Jammu carried out his session on “ Thermal selective coating and its Enhancement characteristics for Efficient Power Generation Through Parabolic thorough Collector(PTC)”. The 4th day of FDP saw Dr. M. MarsalineBeno Professor and Vice Principal, St. Xavier Catholic College of Engineering deliver a captivating talk on “AI and IoT for Green Sustainable Energy”.</p>
<p>On the final day of FDP Dr. A. Nazar Ali, Associate Professor Rajalakshmi College of Engineering conducted a lecture on<br />
“Opportunities and Challenges in Solar Powered Electric Vehicle”.</p>
<p>After that, Er. Dinesh Gupta ( Dean Academics, YCET), took the opportunity to reiterate the importance of such programs in the development of the ideal technocrats institutions owe to this nation and in overall establishing the role of YCET in fulfilling this responsibility.</p>

<p>The session was followed with the airing of jubilant and encouraging words of the guest of honor Er. Arun Bagotra Principal Kathua Polytechnic, Jammu expressed profound confidence in the implementation of such modular practices for the benefit of the education field, especially technical education. He also emphasized the shift in priorities from Development to Sustainable Development.</p>
<p>After that, the stage was progressed through the message given by Chief Guest Dr. Sumeet Gupta, Dean Research and Development, SMVDU, Katra, Jammu who with his exceptional words of motivation nurtured the expectations. It was followed by the interactive session by Managing director JGEI Er. Renu Bangroo in which she acknowledged the constant drive and commitment of YCET towards its mantra “Where excellence is just the beginning&#8221;, and the importance of such events in the pursuit of the same. She also took time to commend the concerted efforts of the Department of Electric Engineering and IIC Cell of YCET in making the perfect arrangements for the success of this enlightening event. Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman YCET, and Chief Coordinator Er.B.R.Verma were also present during the session and congratulated the Electrical department for taking initiative in this kind of activity. The program was coordinated by Er. AzleeAnjum, Assistant Professor Electrical Department.</p>

<p>In the untiring and unrelenting pursuit of transforming the professional education scene in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology have furthered their efforts by organizing a Faculty Development Program on “Clean and Green Energy for Sustainable Development”. This wholesome 05 days event promises to establish the generics of a contemplative issue amongst the teaching faculty which would subsequently be handed over to the young generation of engineering technocrats so that the ideology of Sustainable Development may be embedded in their minds and spirit.</p>
<p>The event commenced on 21st February 2022 with the welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, (HOD, Electrical Engineering Department) which is further followed by the Introduction speech by Er.Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics YCET who brief about the topic of FDP.</p>

<p>The session was followed with the airing of jubilant and encouraging words of Prof (Dr.) Pawnesh Abrol Head, Computer Science Department, the University of Jammu expressed profound confidence in the implementation of such modular practices for the benefit of the education field, especially technical education. He also emphasized the shift in priorities from Development to Sustainable Development.</p>

<p>After that, the stage was progressed through the message given by Chief Guest Prof ( Dr.) Rajnikant, the Director College Development Council University of Jammu who with his exceptional words of motivation nurtured the expectations. He emphasizes on that sustainable development is a pathway to the future we want for all it offers the framework to generate economic growth, achieve social justice, exercise environmental stewardship and Strengthen governance.</p>

<p>The speaker, Dr.Yatheshth Anand, School of Mechanical Engineering SMVDU delivered his talk on “Energy Efficiency in Building: A move towards Sustainability”. He took to the stage in an interactive session and imparted valuable knowledge regarding the proper efficient energy in Building for sustainable development. And the emphasis on Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.</p>

<p>It was followed by the interactive session by Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman YCET in which he re-iterated the mantra of YCET &#8220;Where excellence is just the beginning&#8221;, and highlighted the continuous and vigorous pursuit of excellence that the institution is after. He also took time to commend the concerted efforts of the Department of Electric Engineering and IIC Cell of YCET in making the perfect arrangements for the success of this enlightening event.
