To bring out the creative expression of the students and to gauge their awareness quotient, the Department of Applied Sciences, under the IIC cell of YCET, organized ‘Poster Making Competition on the eve of “National Science Day” in the honor of Nobel laureate, Sir CV Raman who discovered the Raman effect on February 28, 1928. In the competition, students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the theme INTEGRATED APPROACH IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. It was overwhelming to see the level of enthusiasm & zeal in the participants. The competition witnessed several strong ideas & messages to promote innovations in the technical area, thereby fulfilling the objective of this competition. Dr. Rakesh Verma, HoD Department of Applied Sciences, addressed the participants & informed them about the assessment criteria like relevance to the theme, originality, impact of the message, creativity, and overall presentation. The judges of the event, Er. B.R.Verma, Er. Rajneesh Magotra and Er. Neeraj Pandita evaluated the Posters. In the poster-making competition, the top three spots were bagged by Taniya Kotwal, Sahil Manzoor, and Syed Faraz respectively. President, IIC Cell YCET, Er Dinesh Gupta, motivated the students to develop the three I’s i.e. Inquiry, Innovation, and Impact in their daily life activities. Er. B.R. Verma appreciated the efforts of the students and the department for making the event successful. The event was coordinated by Mr. Rohit Gupta and Ms. Vaishali Sharma.
