										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To raise awareness of the impact of how patents, copyright, trademarks, and design affect our daily life, the Department of Applied Sciences under the IIC cell of YCET, organized an &#8216;Essay Writing Competition&#8217; on the eve of &#8220;World Intellectual Property Rights Day&#8217;. Each year the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) celebrates &#8216;World Intellectual Property Day&#8217; to discuss the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. In the competition, students displayed their creative Writing skills on the topic &#8220;World Intellectual Property Rights Day&#8221;. It was overwhelming to see the level of enthusiasm &amp; zeal in the participants. The competition witnessed several strong ideas &amp; messages on Intellectual Property Rights, thereby fulfilling the objective of this competition. Dr. Rakesh Verma, HoD Department of Applied Sciences, addressed the participants &amp; informed them about the assessment criteria like a relevance to the topic, originality, impact of the message, creativity, and overall presentation. The judge of the event Ms. Sheetal Sharma evaluated the material written by students. President of the IIC Cell of YCET, Er Dinesh Gupta, motivated the students to develop the three I&#8217;s i.e. Inquiry, Innovation, and Impact in their daily life activities. Er. B.R. Verma appreciated the efforts of the students and the department for making the event successful. The event was coordinated by Mr. Rohit Gupta and Ms. Vaishali Sharma.</p>
<p>The First position was bagged by Mr. Nagesh Raina of 1st semester from the Civil Engineering Department, the Second Position was bagged by Ms. Taniya Kotwal of 1st semester from the CSE Department and the Third Position was bagged by Mr. Mohd. Imran of 1st semester of CSE Department.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yogananda College of Engineering &amp; Technology organized a spiritual<br />
awareness programme on Sahaja Yoga. The main aim of the programme was to<br />
channelize the youthful energy of budding technocrats in a right direction. A team of<br />
Sahaj yogis from Delhi consisting of Mr NN Tikoo, Col Satish Shukla (Retd) Mr Aditya<br />
prasad, Mrs Ranjana Varma, Mrs Poonam Shukla conducted a stress management<br />
session through Sahaj yoga. The programme started by explaining the science of<br />
Sahaja yoga and how this knowledge of Sahaja yoga and how this knowledge of<br />
Sahaja yoga helps to reduce stress and bring balance to life of practioner.This was<br />
followed by a practical session taking the participants through the process of self<br />
Realisation and meditation. The session further elaborated that the Sahaja yoga is a<br />
process in which the subject, object and the process becomes one through which<br />
active energy flows out and calm energy comes in. The session also debated about<br />
the benefits of Sahaja yoga.<br />
The session began with lighting of ceremonial lamp. The guests were received<br />
by Er B.R Verma, chief coordinator and presented a bouquet on behalf of Yogananda<br />
college of engineering. The session was attended by faculty and students of all<br />
engineering branches. The programme was organised by department of civil<br />
engineering. Dean (Academics) Er Dinesh Gupta,Sh RS Dalpatia ,Deputy registrar,<br />
All Hod&#8217;s were present during the session. The session was very refreshing and fruitful.</p>
<p>The Chairman, Jgei Er Vidhi.s.singh and Er Renu Bangroo,MD,Jgei appreciated the<br />
effort of the department for organizing such session. Which is the need of hour.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Golden Gladiator Sports Club of Yogananda College of Engineering &amp; Technology ( YCET ), Jammu observed “International Day of Happiness” by organizing “Inter-Departmental Friendly Cricket Match” for faculty members to highlight the importance of happiness in the diurnal lives of people. With the theme “Happiness for All, Forever”, YCET, an employee friendly organization recognizes happiness as the important need   in human’s life &amp; links it to the overall well-being of humans. The cricket grounds have been well prepared to mark the occasion &amp; the audience was packed to capacity. The event started with the introduction of the players with Prof. ( Dr. ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET, who then tossed the coin for the toss. The day aims to establish the important role that happiness must play while setting public policy objectives as through the day happiness is intrinsically related to equitable economic growth which will thereby lead to sustainable development and overall well-being of  all people.</p>
<p>There were two different teams, Shinning Warriors &amp; Shinning Stars, who were well equipped with the strong spirit &amp; technical expertise to pose a challenge to lift the trophy. The toss was won by the captain of Shinning Stars Er. Dinesh Gupta and he decided to bat first. Shining Stars defeated Shining Warriors and won the match by 26 runs. The captain of the Shining Warriors was Er. Neeraj Pandita. The Trophy was given to the winning team Shinning Stars and to Shivam Sawhney, Man of the Match. The guest team was also given certificates to appreciate their efforts followed by a lunch. Both the teams played exceedingly well and no one was being able to make out till the end that who would win definitely. Er. Vidhi. S. Singh Jamwal, Chairman cum Managing Trustee, Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman cum Managing Trustee, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director cum Trustee congratulated all the teams &amp; organizers for such an event. In making the match successful, immense efforts were put in by Er. Rajnish Magotra, Coordinator, Students Affair &amp; Er. Yuvraj Singh, Coordinator, Sports Club, YCET who are thankful to all for showing great spirits &amp; zeal in participation.</p>

<p>Progressing forward to its commitment for the highest service one can render to humanity, the whole family of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (YCET &amp; IMS) in collaboration with J&amp;K Thalassemia Welfare Society organized One Day Blood Donation Camp for Thalassemics today the 3 rd  of April, 2019. This yearly venture sees voluntary blood donation by the masses for those in need of this vitality. YCET / IMS being a regular participant in this drive set forward another example of humanitarian approach this year with overwhelming students including faculty members took part in the drive.</p>

<p>The team &nbsp;of&nbsp;J&amp;K Thalassemia Welfare Society led by Er. Sudhir Sethi was&nbsp;enthusiastically received by the Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director,&nbsp;Dr. V.K. Koul, Dean Academics, Mr. Sandeep Pandita, Head,&nbsp;Strategic Planning &amp;amp; Operations,&nbsp;Er. Nidhi Jamwal Administrative&nbsp;Secretary,&nbsp;&nbsp;Head of the Departments viz. Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Er.&nbsp;Rajnish Magotra, Er. Neeraj Pandita, Er. Dinesh Gupta and Mr.Rakesh Verma.</p>



<p>Flagging off the noble cause, the faculty members of YCET and IMS were amongst the first donors. Thereafter the students from all the Departments and semesters followed suit and vigorously participated in the event by donating blood. The entire Society delegation was immensely surprised at the enthusiasm of all those participating and very appreciative of the awareness for the greater cause imparted in the young minds of budding engineers/ managers by the endearing faculty of the Institutions.</p>

<p>They were also thankful to the management of JGEI for providing&nbsp;such a brilliant and vast platform that allows them to engage in the&nbsp;services of the common masses and praised the morality of the&nbsp;foundations on which they have envisioned this overall&nbsp;development approach for the future of this society. The same was&nbsp;reciprocated by the entire participants of the blood donation drive.</p>
