B.TECH. ADMISSION PROCEDURE

(2026–2027)

The College offers a 4-Year B.Tech Degree Programme in the following disciplines:

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Computer Science Engineering
  4. Electrical Engineering

Mode of Admission

Admission to the B.Tech programme shall be made through the following modes:

  1. Through BOPEE:
    Admission shall be made through the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), the designated competent authority of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. Selection will be made by the said authority on the basis of the entrance test conducted by it.
  2. Management / Left-out / Vacant Seats:
    Seats remaining vacant, left out, or falling under the management quota may be filled directly by the Management of the College as per the prescribed norms.
  3. Lateral Entry Scheme:
    Direct admission to the 3rd Semester in any discipline of the B.Tech programme shall be allowed under the Lateral Entry Scheme, subject to eligibility conditions.

Eligibility for Admission

  1. For 4-Year Degree Course

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with:

  • 45% marks for Open Category
  • 40% marks for Reserved Category candidates belonging to SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OBC/IB

The candidate must be a Domicile of UT of Jammu & Kashmir / UT of Ladakh.

  1. For Lateral Entry Scheme

Candidates must have passed a Diploma examination from an AICTE-approved institution in the any branch of Engineering with:

  • 50% marks for General Category
  • 40% marks for Reserved Category
  1. For B. Sc. Degree

Passed B. Sc. Degree from recognized University with at least 45% marks in Open category and 40% marks in reversed category and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

Admission shall be made directly to the 3rd Semester in the relevant branch, subject to eligibility.

No under process certificate will be accepted.

The information provided by, the candidates in the online Application Form cannot be verified from the original documents by the BOPEE officials before admission of candidates. Therefore, if at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.

Documents required at the time of admission
  1. Subject-wise marks certificate of 10+2 examination (qualification examination).
  2. Matriculation diploma.
  3. Provisional qualification certificate of 10+2.
  4. Migration certificate from the board/university where the candidate has passed the qualifying examination (where applicable).
  5. Transfer certificate (other than students who have passed 10+2 from JKBOSE).
  6. Discharge certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  7. Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  8. Medical fitness certificate.
  9. Category certificate issued by the authority in terms of the SRO as amended from time to time.
  10. Domicile certificate.
  11. Admit card of the qualifying examination i.e. CET conducted by BOPEE(if applicable).
  12. Income certificate (for Govt./Autonomous organization issued by the concerned DDO) and others from concerned tehsildar.
  13. 10 passport size photograph.
  14. Print out of online anti-ragging affidavits for information go to http.amanmovement.org/index/info pack.
  15. An undertaking as appended at “A” from all candidates on stamp paper worth Rs.10/-duly attested by 1st class magistrate.
  16. An undertaking as appended at “B” on stamp paper worth Rs.10/- duly attested by 1st class magistrate from the candidates who have passed 12th class examination other than J&K BOSE and from the candidates who were previously studying/passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com./Professional Examination other than Jammu University in addition to undertaking “A” as shown in column(15) above.
  17. Students, who want to avail hostel facility, can obtain prescribed form from the admission committee. Allotment of hostel shall be on first-cum-first serve basis.
