Automobiles Lab

This lab is common for mechanical’s automobile engineering students with facilities to carry out experiments independently. The lab enables students to understand the fundamentals of Automotive Engineering which includes basic structure, body style, power plant and wheel & tyre assembly.

Thermal Lab

Thermal science is a major part of the mechanical engineering where students made to familiarize the basic concepts of thermal sciences. From the knowledge gained by the other courses like thermal engineering and automobile engineering students shall understand the principle in propelling the vehicle. The lab atmosphere tends the student to be emotional and develops the zeal towards the branch of mechanical engineering.

Theory of Mechanical Lab

Theory of Machine Lab deals with the study of relative motion between the various parts of a machine, and forces which act on them. The main objective of Theory of Machines lab is to impart practical knowledge on design and analysis of mechanisms for the specified type of motion in a machine.

The Applicant must be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in Section-6 of the Constitution of the J&K;

Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates including the Children of Defense Personnel, Children of Para Military Force, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes ;

Must be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the relevant year (2019);

The candidates appearing/who have appeared in the 12th Class examination (Annual Session 2019) can also appear in the BOPEE test provisionally. However, they shall be required to produce the marks card of the said examination in support of having qualified the examination at the time of declaration of the result/counseling as may be notified by the Board
