Electrical Engineers: No resistance can drop our potential.

The undergraduate educational goal is to prepare graduates to work as electrical engineers for the broad range of opportunities available in industrial, commercial, academic and government organizations and to prepare graduates for continued learning experiences either in a formal graduate or professional program or in continuing education. Our alumni will be enabled to advance in their fields to supervisory and leadership positions in their chosen careers.

Specifically, three to seven years after graduation we expect our alumni to exhibit one or more of the following:

  • Graduating from a graduate or professional school degree program
  • Achieving success in a government, industrial, commercial, entrepreneurial or academic position as evidenced by continued employment and technical accomplishments
  • Progressing in chosen career as shown by promotion to a position of increased technical, supervisory or management responsibility

EE Program Objectives

  • Department has structured few plans mentioning  the techniques adopted, different subjects taught, exploration of the subjects in different fields which propels our students in right way in  getting themselves engaged in solving real life problems for sustainable  development.
  • To provide students with the knowledge of Mathematics, Basic principles of Engineering and Computing, Basic Sciences and Social Sciences in general and Electrical Engineering in particular so as to develop necessary skill to analyze and synthesize electrical circuits, algorithms and complex apparatus.
  • To prepare students as competent to analyze and provide economically feasible and socially acceptable solutions of real life technical problems in industry, research and academics related to power, information and electronic hardware.
  • To prepare students to excel in professionalism, smart and ethical conduct, interpersonal skills and adoptability in communication to prevalent trends in technology as well as changing technology so as to work successfully in various Industrial and Government organizations, both at the National and International level, with professional competence and ethical administrative acumen so as to be able to handle critical situations and meet deadlines.
  • To prepare and encourage students to undergo research work as well as to involve in scientific innovations for sustainable development.

The program outcomes of Electrical Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology are as follows:- Our product has

  • An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.

  • An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern Engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

Eligibility for Admission in EE

The Applicant must be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in Section-6 of the Constitution of the J&K;

Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates including the Children of Defense Personnel, Children of Para Military Force, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes ;

Must be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the relevant year (2019);

The candidates appearing/who have appeared in the 12th Class examination (Annual Session 2019) can also appear in the BOPEE test provisionally. However, they shall be required to produce the marks card of the said examination in support of having qualified the examination at the time of declaration of the result/counseling as may be notified by the Board
