Under the Directorate of Skill Development, Govt. of J & K, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) with Centre for Invention Innovation Incubation and Training ( CIIIT ), Government Polytechnic College, Jammu on 22nd March, 2021 for up-skilling of B.E. students of YCET at CIIIT Jammu. Government Polytechnic College Jammu has established a centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training ( CIIIT ) for providing training in the latest trends of Manufacturing Technology, Automobile Engineering and other field of Engineering conforming to Industry 4.0, with the help of Tata Technologies Ltd., Pune.
Under this MoU CIIIT shall provide necessary infrastructure like machines / tools material etc and human resources required for conducting skill based trainings and course material on the areas of Manufacturing Technology, Automobile Engineering and other field of Engineering to increase the employability of engineering students of Pre-Final Year & Final Year and support MSMEs and local industries. In YCET, the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering students shall opt for training. This training shall include theory and practical classes. On the successful completion of the training students will be provided certificates by CIIIT, Jammu jointly with Tata Technologies and placement opportunities. The skill based training shall also help in promoting the culture of invention, innovation and incubation among students. Needless to mention here that the training on these courses shall help the students to improve their employability in the industry.
