YCET FACULTY SELECTED AS EVALUATOR FOR FINALE OF TOYCATHON

Er. Dinesh Gupta President of IIC Cell of YCET/HOD of CSE Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology selected as Evaluator for Toycathon-2021 by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE.
The grand finale of Toycathon-2021 is proposed to be organised from 22-24th of June 2021 through both physical and digital mode across the nation.
Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE has already conducted 1st round and the selected teams from 1st round are going to appear in the finale round.

Toycathon-2021 is an initiative to bring India Innovative minds to make India self-sufficient in development and manufacturing toys. The evaluators have to guide the participants for the prototype development for the grand finale of Toycathon-2021. The evaluators once on board will be assigned with the teams to help them in design aesthetics, prototype development or any other aspect related to the development of toys or games.

Considering the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and to reduce India’s dependence on the international market, the Govt of India under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken major steps for promoting ‘Made in India’ toys. To further boost this sector, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE require to conceptualize novel and innovative toys, puzzles and games especially based on Indian culture, civilization, history and ethos. Hence, Govt. of India has launched Toycathon Competition (Toy Hackathon) on 1st of Jan 20210 and through this Toycathon, Govt. will seek new and innovative toy concepts from students, faculty, startups and professionals in large numbers.
