YCET organized Webinar on use of “CATIA” for Mechanical Engineers.

 

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a webinar on “CATIA” in collaboration with CADD centre Jammu, for students of Mechanical Engineering Department, on here today.

   

The quest for a technologically aware student base was cultivated further today by Mechanical Engineering Department, YCET.

The webinar was held on 09 April, 2021 and the formal welcome address was given by Er. Neeraj Pandita (HOD, Mechanical Department YCET). The webinar was further followed by Mr Vipin Singh, Corporate Trainer .This webinar focused on CATIA. CATIA is a multi-platform software suite for computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, computer-aided engineering, PLM and 3D developed by French company Dassault Systems. It facilitates collaborative engineering through an integrated cloud service and has support to be used across disciplines including surfacing & shape design, electrical, fluid and electronic system design, mechanical engineering & systems engineering. Since it supports multiple stages of product development from conceptualization, design and engineering to manufacturing, it is considered a CAx-software and is sometimes referred to as a 3D Product Lifecycle Management software suite. The students were fortunate that they have got the chance to attend this webinar for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert from the concerned field.
