Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology ( YCET ), Jammuorganizes field visit to Building Centre and Jammu Development Agency Flats, Muthi, Jammu on 19thMarch’ 2022 for the students of 8thSemester of civil Engineering.

Being a part of interactive learning, such educational visits give students a major exposure to real working environments along with a practical perspective of a theoretical concept relevant to their domain.In addition to that,Industrial visits bridge the widening gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure by giving students the first hand exposure to identify the inputs and outputs for different approaches and technical know how at the work place.. Er.Shivam Sharma, Asst Professors, Department of  Civil engineeringand  Er Rajnish Magotra, HOD ( Civil Engineering ) planned and accompanied the students during one day  visit toBuilding Centre and Jammu Development Agency Flats,Muthi,Jammu.During the visit,Director Building Centre Ar.Harinder Singh interacted with students and faculty and gave presentation about building materials and use of appropriate technology  Er.B R Verma,Chief Coordinator, and Er Dinesh Gupta, Dean (Academics) encouragedthe department for arranging field visits for practical exposures.

 

The students interacted with the Mr.Rinku Bhatsite Engineer of Building Centre anddiscussed the aspects of engineering approach about concrete mix design.Besides this visit,students  visited JDA Flats,there Sh Sanjay Anand,Aee and Er Sahil  J.E explained in detail about the foundation laid for towers,they are 16 in numbers accommodating 144 families. The towers are G+11, having facility of 2BHK, 3BHK and 5BHK. This interaction created an enthusiasm among students and boosted their confidence.The management appreciated the efforts of the department for such visits and made compulsory for every department to initiate more and more visits for making our students employable in this competitive world.
