The Department of Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organizes webinar on “Solar Energy Technology” on 27th December, 2021 on eve of “National Energy Conservation Day” for Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering students.
The session began with welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HOD (Electrical Department).The resource person for the webinar was Er. Shafqat Mughal , HOD (Electrical Engineering )SOET, BGSBU, Jammu & Kashmir .He explained about Solar energy technologies i.e. Our sun is the source of all life on Earth, and solar energy is useful to us in many different ways. The sun creates two main types of energy – light and heat – that we can harness for many activities ranging from photosynthesis in plants to creating electricity with photovoltaic (PV) cells to heating water and food. There are principally two technologies employed: photo voltaic (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) technologies.
The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this webinar for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert from the concerned field. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET Management.
Er. Dinesh Gupta Dean Academics and President of IIC Cell of YCET appreciated the efforts of Electrical Engineering Department. He said that such session will be very helpful to the students. The session was coordinated by Er. Azlee Anjum Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Department and formal vote of thanks is delivered by Er. Robin Kumar HOD of CSE department.
