YCET organizes workshop on “Start up”

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), a MHRD Initiative, Govt. of India, organizes a workshop on “Start up” on 10thNov. 2020. The objective of this workshop is that the students acquire necessary knowledge and skills required for organizing and carrying out entrepreneurial activities and to develop the ability of analyzing and understanding business situations in which entrepreneurs act and master the knowledge necessary to plan entrepreneurial activities.

The workshop has been conducted by Mr. Zubair Shah Koul, Assistant Faculty, JKEDI, Jammu. In this workshop 5th semester students from Civil Engineering & Mechanical Engineering participated. The resource person Mr. Zubair Shah Koul, Assistant faculty JKEDI, Jammu interacted with the participants. He was happy to note the enthusiasm shown by the students towards online session. He also appreciated the efforts and patience made by students at their level to be a part of this program till end. He laid stress that technical graduates must start their own ventures and instead of seeking jobs for themselves they should provide jobs to others. He gave examples of successful entrepreneurs (Engineering Graduates) who started their ventures in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised that time has come that technical skill persons step forward in innovation and

business establishment and help others to earn their livelihood. He also explained all the schemes of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute to the students. Many students cleared their doubts during the interactive session.
