Further strengthening the motto “Where Excellence is just the beginning”, the students of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology grabbed accolades at AICTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards, 2020 organized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on the theme India’s Economic Recovery Post Covid; Reverse Migration and Rehabilitation Plan to support “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, among 968 shortlisted teams in which 2 teams bagged their position from J&K. Mechanical Marvel team of YCET was fortunate enough to be out of the two teams and further upgrading themselves to next level of innovation and in the queue for outstanding innovative team award.

These awards are an embodiment of encouraging truly successful efforts that have made a mark on the industry or the society in terms of delivering better outputs & processes and creating higher benchmarks. The students of Mechanical department of YCET submitted their project on “Automatic Seed Sowing Machine” which promoted micro, small & medium enterprises to achieve the mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The participants bringing laurels to the name of institution include Danish Dogra, Visha, Puneet Wazir, Sunil Shrama, Nitish Kumar, Manish and Dheeraj Sharma under the mentorship of Er. Neeraj Pandita, HoD ( Mechanical Engineering ), YCET. Our students looked at the awards as a mean to overcome societal challenges, with an aim to provide innovative and low cost solutions.

Appreciation was added by the Director YCET, Dr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava, Chief-Coordinator, Er. B.R. Verma commemorating the success of the students. The Students remitted the gesture by thanking the Director YCET, for motivating young individuals, inspiring leaders and organizations to raise their performance in their specific domains leading to significant contribution towards the growth and development of the nation as a whole. The Management of YCET Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman JGEI, Th. Shivdev Singh Jamwal (Vice chairman, JGEI) and Er. Renu Bangroo (Managing Director, JGEI) took it upon themselves to personally congratulate the eminent students acknowledging their efforts. The event for a technologically & research oriented students base was coordinated by Planning & Development Officer, YCET Er. Dinesh Gupta.
